Dear Friends,

Today’s show in LA and the El Ray will be canceled. After my second visit to an ENT in the last 3 days, I’ve felt improvement, but the doctor’s orders today were to not sing tonight if I want to sing for the rest of the tour. Unfortunately, I have to make another short term sacrifice for my long term well being.

After looking down to my vocal chords, the doctor I saw today mentioned that they still look very irritated, and doubled my dose of antibiotics for the rest of the week. That is the only major change, and although his strong advice was to avoid singing tonight, he seemed confident that I am on the right track and will be recovering to near 100% within the week. I’ll take my final dose of steroids tomorrow morning, and I don’t want to dig myself into a hole but as of now, our plans are to make the trip up to San Francisco and play that show tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

I have been looking forward to playing the El Ray for months now, so it’s a huge disappointment to miss this show, but I know we will always be back to LA, and I’m sure it won’t be long before we can make this show (and others) back up to you all.

Writing these messages has provided good motivation for me this week. Not only do I not want to have to write many more of them, but it’s also helped me focus my energy on doing what I need to do to get better and stay that way. So again I want to thank everyone for all the good vibes and love they’ve sent this week. It is truly amazing to see, and I can’t tell you how helpful it’s been. Thank you.
